About Us
Ed Kerns, Agent/Owner
Ed is an owner and agent at Kerns Insurance Agency. He grew up in Loogootee, IN. His mom and dad are the late Richard Kerns and Sharon Kerns. His sister is the late Misty Kerns.
Ed spent his early years as a police officer. He has worked in restaurant management, logistics and in life insurance sales. Ed has an associate's degree from Vincennes University Criminal Justice and a bachelor's degree from Oakland City University in business.
He lives in Loogootee with his wife and family. He is a busy father of five kids: Gage, Colt, Broc, Trinity and Carter.
Alyssa Kerns, Agent/Owner
Alyssa is an owner and agent at Kerns Insurance Agency. She is a Registered Nurse and has spent over 20 years in the health insurance industry. Alyssa has a master's degree in science and a master's degree in business administration from Bellarmine University.
Alyssa lives in Loogootee with Ed and their children. She is the treasurer of the Martin County Historical Society. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gardening and cooking.
